Quartz Crystal vibrates to the number 4, and attunes with ALL Astrological signs.

Quartz, as silicon dioxide, crystalizes in the form of masses, grains, druses, and prismatic hexagonal crystals. It is also known as rock crystal, and milky white quartz crystal.

Rose quartz, smokey quartz, citrine, and amethyst are types of quartz crystal, but have slightly different properties than clear quartz crystal.

Piezoelectric and Pyroelectric Properties

Quartz has both piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties; the polarity of the quartz crystal will change when it is either subjected to pressure or heat, as well as when it is held in the hand - the tip, normally positive and receiving energy, will then change and become negative, thus, emitting energy which will radiate from the tip or from an edge. These properties support the amplification, focusing, storage, transfer, and transformation of energy.

Quartz can be used to dispel static electricity and can provide for conversion and re-direction of the energy toward a beneficial state. It produces a naturally balanced, solid-state energy field, modifying the energy available in accordance with the understanding of the user.

Quartz crystals can be used to amplify both body energy and thoughts. They can assist in the creation of power and can provide for clarity in thinking to enable thoughts to more effectively influence matter.

Quartz is said to bring the energy of the stars into the soul. Traditionally, the natural quartz crystal was said to both harmonize and align human energies - thoughts, consciousness, emotions - with the energies of the universe, and to make these greater energies available to humanity. The natural tendency of quartz is for harmony, and it is recognized as a “stone of power”.

The quartz crystal is the connection between the physical dimension and the dimensions of the mind. It can be used to communicate with minerals, plants, animals, and intelligent forces outside of the physical dimension. In early times, when all things were thought to be conscious parts of a greater living consciousness, the quartz crystal was believed to synchronize the individual and total consciousness with that of the heavens, the realms of angelic intelligence, and advanced life forms of other dimensions.

The quartz crystal can be used to facilitate both speaking with, and receiving information from, the spiritual and other-worldly masters, teachers, healers, and guides.

Transorm Thoughts Into Sound

It can also be used to transform thoughts into sound, producing the vibration associated with the thought and affecting the environment with the discharged energy. The use of sound to amplify the effects of quartz crystal has also been documented over the centuries.

Quartz crystal can create altered states of consciousness and can serve as a vehicle for both reaching and utilizing the talents and abilities of the mind. All psychic abilities can be stimulated and amplified by the use of this mineral. It also assists in retaining calmness and clarity in all situations, decreasing the amount of negativity which could inhibit emotional stability. It provides enhanced energy and promotes perseverance & patience, as well as restful sleep.

Atlantis and Lemuria

Quartz crystals were used in Atlantis and Lemuria for rejuvenation, and in the development of a complete civilization of incredible power and splendor. The mis-use of all forms of crystals is said to have induced the destruction of these civilizations; this is a lesson from which to learn and - not to re-create. If one uses the energy of the quartz crystal, or any other mineral, for purposes other than “for the good of all”, the experience of destructive forces will be invited into ones life.

Third Eye & Heart Chakras

Quartz crystals can be used to clear and to activate the energy centers of the body. It attunes well to the heart chakra and responds very well at the third-eye (or brow) chakra. Placing the crystal at the area of the third-eye, during meditation, seems to enable one to focus more clearly such that the mind can become calm and still; this may be described as the feeling of “oneness” often experienced during meditation. Quartz can further promote the reflection and magnification of images and thoughts, so that one may evaluate the inner reaches of the self. Placement of the crystal upon the heart chakra, can help to clear emotional disturbances from ones being; it also further enhances the states of self-acceptance and self-love.

Crown Chakra

Use of quartz to activate the crown chakra has been quite effective. The spiraling effect of the energy produces a clear pathway for the movement of the Kundalini and for access to the realm of spirituality. If, however, one has not overcome personal “will” and the crown chakra is opened via the quartz crystal, the available energy could produce disruption within the emotional, physical, and spiritual centers. The opening of this chakra provides a pathway for communication from the higher-self; the best results being obtained when the “will” is “willing” and receptive to following higher guidance.

Quartz crystal provides for purification of the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies. It is also a healer of negativity associated with ones perspectives and judgements; it can be used to focus upon the inner negativity and to stimulate positive thoughts and feelings. It can also help to direct materialistic energies toward the spiritual realm. It can further enhance the flow of, and can direct, ones positive thoughts and feelings toward the “light, love and harmony of the planet”, teaching one to live, laugh, and love with all brothers and sisters.

Amplification of Healing Energy Field
Clear Radiation and Radioactivity

Quartz induces amplification of the energy field in the location in which it resides. Quartz crystal can produce a force field of healing negative ions while clearing the surrounding atmosphere of positive ions. It also tends to cancel the harmful effects of radiation and radioactivity.

Quartz Crystal Worn, Carried,
or Placed in Environment

Wherever worn or carried, it acts as a physical and mental energizer; it also enhances and protects the aura and provides for amplification of the energy field of the body.

Placed beneath the pillow during sleep, it can also bring wisdom and clarity to dreams and can help one to understand the messages and the lessons conveyed during the dream state.

If worn close to the neck, it can stimulate the thyroid and parathyroid glands, being also helpful for respiratory problems such as congestion and sore throat.

If worn over the heart, it can stimulate the thymus and can increase the efficiency of both the immune system and ones defenses against dis-ease.

If worn over the solar plexus, it can provide for the stimulation of total body energies, and can also increase ones emotional fields (this may - or may not be desirable).

If worn on the fingers, it enhances “the Midas touch”; if worn on the wrist, it provides stimulation to the meridians which represent survival and protection of the physical and emotional bodies.

When worn at the third-eye, it can stimulate mental clarity, facilitating deep meditative states and activating psychic abilities.

When worn as earrings, quartz crystals can provide for balancing of the physical body, for alignment with the higher realms, for stabilization and balancing of all chakras, for clearing and activation of the throat chakra and the third eye, and for synchronicity between the left and right hemispheres of the brain.

A single quartz crystal carried on ones person or placed in ones environment will assist in maintaining balance, energy, and protection.

Whether the crystal is worn, carried, or placed in ones environment, the force the warmth, and the brilliance remain attuned to the energy of the one to whom it is connected.

Experimentation with Kirlian photography has shown the direction in which the point is worn makes some difference; however, there is an overall INCREASE in the energy field no matter which way the crystal points.

UP:
Pointing the crystal “up” has channeled energy into the upper chakras causing some people to be so stimulated that they felt they were leaving their bodies (tending to make one feel “spacey”); using the crystal while positioned in this direction has been quite beneficial for meditation, prayer, study, and taking tests.

DOWN:
Pointing the crystal “down”, there has been a slight grounding effect as energy was directed toward the lower body and the Earth, tending to maintain more efficient grounding and assisting one in remaining more “in-tune” with the world.

HORIZONTALLY:
Pointing the crystal horizontally, a small increase has been noted in the energy in front of the body, with large increases on the sides.

Kirlian photography shows that if one holds a crystal in the receiving hand, the etheric fields of the body are doubled.

Traditional Uses of Quartz Crystal
in Various Locations, Cultures & Times

“Clear” Quartz is used extensively in meditation, spiritual development, and healing. It helps one to recognize the origin of a dis-ease and has been used for this purpose quite extensively by the inhabitants of Atlantis and Lemuria, by the Native American Indians, the African tribal systems, the ancient Egyptian culture, the Mayans and Aztecs, the Australian Aborigines, the Romans, Scots, Celts, Tibetan Buddhists, Brahmans, and many others during the days of the “old ways”. It has been used by these cultures in diagnostic healing, in raising the consciousness toward the enlightened state, and in communicating with the spirits and with those from other worlds.

Solid quartz stones and clear quartz crystals have been used for religious purposes since ancient times. Quartz is one of the seven precious substances of Buddhism. It was also said to have been one of the stones used in the breastplate of the high priests of the ancient temple of Solomon in Jerusalem. Ancient priests used quartz crystals to render negative energy impotent, to dissolve spells and enchantments, and to destroy all forms of harmful magick.

Indigenous cultures in North America and Burma believed clear quartz crystals to be living entities and presented them with food as ritual offerings. The Cherokee Indians believed rock crystal to have great power to aid in hunting and divining, and one traditional Cherokee crystal guardian was reputed to keep his crystal wrapped up in buckskin and hidden in a sacred cave. At designated times he would take it out and “feed” it by rubbing it with the blood of a deer. Romans used quartz crystals to treat glandular swelling, to reduce fevers, and to relieve pain.

In the Scottish Highlands, a crystal set in silver and worn about the back was thought to be effective for dis-eases of the kidneys. In medieval Europe, the quartz crystal was held against the tongue to assuage fever and diminish thirst.

Quartz crystal has been used by many cultures in the treatment of circulatory system disorders. It has been used in the treatment of vertigo, to stabilize dizziness, and to promote emotional stability.

Quartz honors Gaia, the Greek Earth Mother Goddess. born directly out of Chaos, the primal emptiness, she was one of the first beings to appear during the process of creation, and is honored as being the Earth itself.

Clear Quartz honors Kundalini, the Hindu Life Force Goddess; Latona, the Roman Goddess of Light; and Gendenwitha, the Morning Star Goddess of the Iroquois.

Crystal Skulls

In Central and South American cultures, quartz crystals carved in the shapes of human skulls were venerated as powerful religious objects, and believed to be the dwellings of deceased ancestors or gods. An ancient Mayan legend claims there were thirteen sacred crystal skulls hidden in different places and must all be found and brought together before the December 21, 2012 when the Mayan calendar cycle ends or Earth will be knocked off its axis.

Multiple Native American legends tell of thirteen life-size crystal skulls said to contain crucial information about humankind’s true purpose and destiny. The legend prophesied that one day, at a time of great crisis for humanity, all thirteen crystal skulls would be rediscovered and brought together to reveal information vital to the very survival of the human race.

Technical Properties of Quartz Crystal

Quartz crystal is valued for its piezoelectric and pyroelectric properties, by which it can transform mechanical pressure or heat into electromagnetic energy, and vice versa. Its ability to focus, amplify, store and transform energy is used throughout the technology industry in ultrasound devices, watches, microphones, radio transmitters & receivers, memory chips in computers, and other electronic circuitry.

When clear Quartz has been attached to the fuel line in a car, reduced fuel consumption has been documented.

Sir Isaac Newton discovered the color spectrum by refracting sunlight through a natural clear quartz crystal. Reflecting the rainbow on his wall allowed him to measure the different lengths of the rays of the visible light spectrum.

When quartz crystal is exposed to organized photon energy (light) in the form of lasers - the crystal can store information in the form of three dimensional holographic imagery that can also record movement. Current scientific experiments and testing indicate that information stored in quartz crystal can remain intact for over 300 million years.
